The Canberra Capitals, led by Jessica Bibby have delivered a 40-point drubbing to the young AIS side at home at the AIS Arena on Friday night, 96-56.

Captain Jessica Bibby was on fire, nailing 9 of 15 three pointers to finish the game with 38.  Carly Wilson finished with 18 points while Suzi Batkovic added 14.

For the Institute, Rebecca Cole finished with 15 points while Olivia Thompson added 14 for the contest.

AIS hung with the ladder leaders in the first term, trailing by seven in a high-scoring affair. But Canberra’s form from beyond the arc continued to shine as they demolished the Instituite in the second period, 28-5.  From that point on, the Capitals were never trouble, as they ran away 40 point victors.
