Saturday 28th November: Boomers v Townsville Fire

After a hard week of training, everyone was itching to get out on the court and get another win.

We all knew coming into this game it would be tough, as Townsville were second on the ladder, had only dropped one game and are known for their blue collar work ethic and strong team play...it was those blue collar 1%'s that we didn't come up with against Sydney that cost us the game.

Sun 15 November, Boomers V Syd Uni Flames ...

With Sydney boasting a very talented line up, and the Boomers sitting undefeated, this game was very important in the context of the championship.

Last Saturday the Global Metals Bulleen Boomers set out once again to face Adelaide looking for a consecutive win. In the rooms before the game everyone was ready to get out there and play, trying to forget that it was so hot.

As we all expected it was a close game and Adelaide came out to win, in the first half they lead us by 9. With a strong talk at half time by the coaches and some lollies, we came out in the second half ready to play and take the lead back.[more]   Comments (0)

Well the Doomsday double proved to be just what us Boomers needed last weekend…with all bases covered for the weekend including shopping, catching up on sleep, team bonding, funny stories and of course – escaping with 2 wins!
