The Adelaide Lightning outscored the Logan Thunder 21-9 in the final term to run away 63-52 victors at Logan Metro Stadium tonight.

Trailing by one point after three quarters, the ladder-leaders dominated the home town Thunder to finish the game, ending their four-game winning streak.

Playing without star centre Suzy Batkovic, the Lightning were led by Abby Bishop who top-scored in the contest with a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Jenni Screen added a double-double of her own with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Amy Lewis finished with eight points and ten rebounds for the Lightning, who took their record to 15-3 on the season.

The Thunder were led by Renae Camino who finished with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Cayla Francis suffered through a terrible shooting night to still finish with eight points, 15 rebounds, four blocks and three assists.

Ahead 13-8 after one term, the Thunder were outscored 19-14 in the second term to see scores tied at 27 points apiece at the half.

The Lightning must now back up against the Townsville Fire in the second leg of their road-trip tomorrow night.
