The Canberra Capitals have continued to exert their dominance at the top of the WNBL table with a resounding 28-point victory over the Bendigo Spirit, 87-59 on Saturday night.

In front of a capacity crowd of close to 1000 fans at the Albury Sports Stadium on Saturday night, it was Capitalsí guard Michelle Cosier who did much of the damage, dropping 22 points to go with a strong defensive effort.

Carly Wilson added 14 points and eight rebounds, while captain Jess Bibby finished with 11 points.

Kristy Harrower (14 points) and Eleanor Haring (10 points) led the Spirit throughout the match, but were often over-powered by a Capitals line-up on a mission.

A 45-31 first half had the Capitals in the box seat at the main change, as the Spirit were looking down the barrel of another tough defeat.

Despite a big effort in the third by the Spirit, things remained unchanged at the last break as Canberra ran away with the game in the last quarter, sealing the big 28-point victory.
