The Sydney Uni Flames have delivered the Dandenong Rangers their third straight defeat and head into the break with a confidence-boosting win, taking the game at home by ten points, 77-67.

For the home side Flames Natalie Stafford was superb finishing with 26 points, while Katie-Rae Ebzery had 18 and Amy Denson finished with 16. The Flames also welcomed back Natalie Porter who enjoyed 24 minutes on the floor for seven points.

For the visiting Rangers Stephanie Cumming finished with 17, while Tracy Gahan and Lauren King both finished with 11 points each.

After a strong first half, where the Rangers led by nine heading into the changerooms, things looked ominous for the Flames.

But they came out in the second half a new side, and delivered a 45-26 second half to snare the 10-point win, ending the round and the year at .500.

The Flames sit on seven wins, equal with Dandenong and Logan above them.

With the line-up strengthened by the return of Porter, the Flames will be making plans for an assault on the finals when play resumes in 2011.
