Bulleen bounces back to take big win over West Coast

The Bulleen Boomers have bounced back from their disappointing loss to Adelaide on Friday night to run away emphatic winners over West Coast at the Veneto Club on Saturday, 81-56.


The Boomers jumped out of the gates, rushing out to a 25-11 quarter time lead. They stretched the lead by an additional four points in the second term to go into the change rooms in front by 18 points.

The Waves were better after the half, holding the Boomers to just 12 points in the third term, shaving two points off the lead. But Bulleen finished the game the way they started, outscoring the visitors by 24-15, to seal the big 25-point win.

For the Boomers, Jarry was again the top scorer finishing with 20 points, while Cambage continued her fine form, finishing with 18 points and 15 rebounds.

For the Waves, Melissa Marsh had 16 points, connecting on three of four three-point attempts, while Rohanee Cox finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
