Waves In The Community

During season 2011/12 the West Coast Waves players got out to schools, junior Basketball competitions and regional communities. Waves players did everything from teach basketball skills, played games and even wrapped Christmas presents.

This season the West Coast Waves want to get out in the community even more!

The team is keen to get out and meet all of their fans, up and coming basketballers and members of the public. They want to share their love of basketball with all and spend time working with young players, helping them to build and develop their skills. By involving the whole of community in this approach, the aim is to further increase community awareness and raise the profile of women’s basketball in WA.
