The Adelaide Lightning announced on Tuesday the exciting signing of Erin Bollmann for the remainder of the WNBL26 season.
Bollmann joins the Lightning as an injury replacement player for Serena Sundell, who has unfortunately been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season with a knee injury.
Lightning CEO Melanie MacGillivray said the arrival of Bollmann, a NBL1 North All Star and 3-time Defensive Player of the Year, is a welcome boost for the club.
“Erin plays with real intent and toughness, and she fits the culture we’re building. We can't wait to welcome her into the Lightning family," MacGillivray said.
Bollmann, a Southeast Missouri State Redhawks alum, most recently played for BNZ Northern Kahu in the Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa and Sunshine Coast Phoenix in NBL1 North, where she averaged 21.93 points, 9.79 rebounds and 6.14 assists a game.
The club also confirmed the 31-year-old guard, who has also played for the Keilor Thunder and Darwin Salties, would make her Lightning debut on Tuesday night, when Adelaide host Townsville at the South Australian State Basketball Centre from 7pm AEDT.
"The Adelaide Lightning remains focused on building a competitive and connected team as the season progresses, and looks forward to seeing Bollmann in action tonight against the Townsville Fire," the club said via a statement.
Tickets to the Round 6 fixture, which will be broadcast on ESPN and 9Now, are still available here.
