Geelong star Shyla Heal is set to make her long-awaited Venom debut on Friday, when her side travels to Adelaide to play the Lightning.
The club announced Tuesday the Australian Opals guard, who's missed the Venom's first seven games of WNBL26 due to a knee injury, would suit up during Geelong's Round 6 fixture.
This layoff has been the 24-year-old's longest during her professional hoops career.
“This is my first big injury and for someone that’s such a hard worker and loves the game it’s been pretty hard for me, definitely had some down days,” Heal told CODE Sports earlier this month.
Friday's game at the SA State Basketball Centre will mark Heal's first WNBL fixture since 2023, when she won a championship with Townsville Fire before jetting off to play in Europe in recent seasons.
Tickets to the Round 6 fixture, which will be live on ESPN2 and 9Now, are still available here.
