Anneli Maley's hard work has been rewarded with the forward signing a standard WNBA deal with the New York Liberty.
Originally on a Development Player contract, Maley has appeared in seven games for the Liberty this season so far.
This move for the 28-year-old removes the 12-game restriction attached to players on Developmental contracts, a designation created under the League's new collective bargaining agreement.
It allows the Perth Lynx star, who was part of the Liberty's Commissioner's Cup win in 2026, to participate in playoff games for the postseason-bound Liberty.
Maley joins fellow Australian Bec Allen and Geelong Venom star Han Xu on the Liberty.
On the same day, the team brought in former Ole Miss standout Madison Scott on a Developmental contract, alongside Elizabeth Balogun.
The moves were announced after the team shared the news of Satou Sabally officially being out for the remainder of the WNBA season.
