Cayla George will etch her name further into the WNBL record books on Saturday when her Southside Melbourne Flyers travel to Townsville to play the Fire.
The Paris Olympic Games bronze medallist, currently in a three-way tie with Rachael Sporn and Lucille Bailie on 377 games, will move into third spot on the competition's all-time games played list.
"It [moving into third all-time] is really special to me," George said.
"I saw Spornie, who I grew up watching play, last week and gave her a big hug.
"I never take anything I've been able to achieve in my career for granted, whether that be in the WNBL or on the international stage with my Opals sisters. The game of basketball has given me so much.
"I'm very lucky to have shared the court with so many phenomenal women in my career, so to have my name up there with some of the greats of our competition is very cool."

This honour adds to the impressive resume of the South Australian product, which includes three Olympic Games, four WNBL championships, one WNBA title, one WNBL MVP and five All WNBL selections.
Not to mention George is the competition's all time rebounds leader (3661) and sits third all time in points scored (5286) and blocks (464).
To make her accomplishment even more impressive is the fact that the 36-year-old has only missed four games (one with the Melbourne Boomers and three with the Sydney Flames) during her illustrious career.
"[The key to my longevity] is when I turned 30, I started doing reformer pilates, and that's been a real game changer for me," she said.
"Like any athlete, I don't like not playing, so I just do whatever I can to get my body right and get out on the court with my teammates.
"I also stretch a lot more now than when I was younger, as I know the importance of recovery.
"Finally, being around my younger teammates keeps me young at heart, and that really keeps that spark for the game going."
After Saturday's Round 7 game at the Townsville Entertainment Centre, George, who is averaging 14.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game during her first season at the Flyers, will only sit behind Jessica Bibby (393) and Kelly Wilson (476) in games played.
While she admits she'd love to reach 400, she knows chasing down Wilson will be a tough ask.
"Honestly, I'm super stoked to play the amount of games I have, after some really good stints in Europe and America," she said.
"400 games is definitely on the cards, but catching the legend that is Kelly Wilson will be tough.
"But who knows, and we'll never say never."
Tickets to Saturday's game in Townsville, which will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and 9Now, are still available here.
