The Southside Melbourne Flyers have added to their exciting young core on Friday, with Holly Griffiths committing to the club, pending League approval.
The Bullen Boomers talent Griffiths returns to the Flyers, who she spent the WNBL23 season with, on a Development Player contract after three years of college hoops in the United States. While in the US, the forward played for Pepperdine, Fresno State and most recently Grand Canyon.
During the 2025-26 season, Griffiths appeared in 18 games (including five starts) and averaged 2.3 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.
"Holly is a talented young player who has worked hard to put herself in a position to earn this opportunity," Flyers coach Sam Mackinnon said.
Griffiths, who has played with Dandenong at an NBL1 level, joins Haylee Andrews, Lara Edmanson, Carly Ernst, Cayla George, Hannah Hank, Tess Heal, Claire Jacobs, Saffron Shiels, Siyu Wang and Isobelle Wightman on Mackinnon's WNBL27 roster.
The Flyers open their season against Sydney at the State Basketball Centre on October 16.
