This weekend's games saw five thrilling contests take place all across the country.

Highlighting this round were 250 game milestones to a pair of WNBL legends and the arrival of one international superstar.

Join us as we recap all the top moments from Round 6 during our weekly column.

WNBL legends recognised

Kelsey Griffin and Marianna Tolo are two players that have defined the past decade of the WNBL.

From 10 championships, to countless individual accolades, the Bendigo Spirit duo have been instrumental in getting the competition to where it is today.

So it was great to see the two 250 game stars celebrated the way they were, share the moment and help the Spirit defeat Perth at Traralgon on Sunday.

Xu-perstar arrives in Perth

The 5-3 Perth Lynx, who were already one of the stronger teams in the competition, are set to be an even bigger challenge for WNBL opponents now, following the arrival of 211cm Chinese superstar, Han Xu.

The two-time Olympian and former New York Liberty star, who arrived in Perth on Saturday night, is one of the biggest international names to ever lace them up in the WNBL.

With the centre generating plenty of buzz around the league, everyone is waiting for her impending debut.

Rising stars announcing themselves

Over the first six rounds of the exciting WNBL26 season, plenty of stars have shone.

But a few of the competition's rising stars are showing exactly what they can do on the basketball court.

Both Adelaide's Dallas Loughridge to Southside Melbourne's Issie Bourne (who celebrated her 50th game this round) have taken huge steps forward, while Bendigo's Issy Borlase is in the MVP mix.

We can't wait to see what they, and all the young stars, show us next on the hardwood.

Townsville the benchmark

Through the opening six rounds, one team has stood out from the rest and that's Townsville.

After two wins over Canberra and Adelaide in Round 6, the Fire are now 7-1, which includes being 5-1 on the road.

Not only are they first on the ladder but they also lead the league point per game (90.1, which is more than 11 points more than second placed Geelong), field goal percentage (49.2) and three point percentage (43).

Further to that, the top seven player plus-minus marks belong to Fire players, including Courtney Woods (19.3), Miela Sowah (18.4), Lauren Cox (16.3), Abbey Ellis (13.3), Alicia Froling, Alex Fowler (both 13.1) and Lucy Olsen (12.3).

WNBL documentary launched

At three different locations around the country, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra, the 'Beyond the WNBL' documentary was officially launched with events last week.

The four incredible episodes go behind the scenes with WNBL stars Cayla George, Jade Melbourne, Shaneice Swain and Nyadiew Puoch, and share with all hoops fans their incredible stories.

If you haven't watched all four episodes yet, do yourself a favour and check them out now here.
