This weekend's games saw six riveting games take place all across the country.
Highlighting this round was the highly anticipated home debut for Han Xu and a thrilling contest in Geelong.
Join us as we recap all the top moments from Round 8 during our weekly column.
Xu-per crowd for Han's home opener
It was a game that all Perth Lynx fans had been waiting for since Han Xu signed with the club.
And didn't the fans turn out, delivering Lynx's highest ever home crowd of 3,121 at the Perth High Performance Centre.
The team rewarded their fans with a huge 98 81 win over the Southside Melbourne Flyers too, in which Xu added 19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist and 1 block.
Streaking Spirit
While much of the attention on the WNBL world has been on Townsville (and rightfully so), the reigning champions have just continued to go about their business.
On the back of Round 8 wins over Geelong and Southside, Bendigo have now strung six straight wins together, to sit at 9 2 on the season.
Making the achievement even more impressive is the fact that five time champion and Australian Opal Marianna Tolo hasn't featured in the past four of those, after announcing she is pregnant with her first child.
Clutch Capitals starting to click
A round is a long time in basketball, just ask the UC Capitals.
In the space of five days, Paul Goriss' side went from eighth spot to fourth, thanks to wins over Geelong and Adelaide.
The first came at the death, thanks to a game winning triple by Nicole Munger, while a 16 11 final period on Tuesday secured the Caps the grinding victory over the Lightning.
And with Zitina Aokuso getting into a rhythm, after a disrupted start to WNBL26, the Caps appear set for a big second half of the season.
Historical season in Townsville
Miela Sowah is proving to be one of the signings of the off season for the Townsville Fire.
Through the first eight rounds, the Australian Opals guard is producing the highest ever plus minus mark (19.9) during a WNBL season (minimum five games).
Powering that historic figure is career high marks in points (18.5), three pointers made (3.3) and steals (1.9).
It's not just Sowah who is shining for the Fire during their incredible 2025 26, with teammates Courtney Woods (19.5), Alex Fowler (16.1), Alicia Froling (15.5) and Abbey Ellis (15.4) also producing top 10 all time marks, highlighting the dominance of Shannon Seebohm's side.
Milestones galore
Sunday saw Alex Sharp become the latest player to chalk up 100 WNBL games, during her Geelong Venom's clash with the Capitals.
Also in this round, during Geelong's fixture with Bendigo in Ballarat, Sharp collected her 750th career rebound.
While Flyers star Cayla George became just the 10th player in league history to record 1000 career assists, joining Kelly Wilson (1,647), Kristen Veal (1,568), Kristi Harrower (1,501), Belinda Snell (1,109), Jenna O'Hea (1,075), Michele Timms (1,070), Leilani Mitchell (1,067), Robyn Maher (1,044) and Rachael McCully (1,015).
Other milestones achieved this round included 500 career assists for Canberra's Jade Melbourne, 250 career steals for Southside's Maddy Rocci, 200 career triples for Adelaide's Steph Talbot and 50 games for Dallas Loughridge.
