Three-point specialist and three-time NBL1 East MVP Nicole Munger has re-committed to the UC Capitals for WNBL27.
The Sixth Woman of the Year finalist was a headache for oppsition's second units, valued for her ability to rise to the occasion and lead the team by example, leading to Head Coach Paul Goriss welcoming her return for a fifth-straight season.
“Munger is a tenacious defender and can be versatile with our switching defence, because of her pursuit to be disruptive and out-work her opponent,” he said.
“She’s a lethal shooter and can get hot very quickly, making the defence stretch and provide space for others. She has done an excellent job also getting to get mid-range jump shot and is a relentless offensive rebounder.”
Averaging 7.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and playing all 23 games, Munger is an iron woman of the WNBL and says she can't wait to return for WNBL27.
"I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return to the Canberra Capitals for a fifth season,” she said.
“Canberra has become such a special place to me over the years and I'm so thankful for the support of the club, the fans, and the wider community.”
Munger joins Amy Atwell, Isabella Brancatisano, Isabel Palmer, Nyadiew Puoch, Sharne Robati, Charlotte Whittaker and Manuela Puoch for the coming campaign.
