The WNBL acknowledges the decision made by the Game Review Panel (GRP) to charge Bendigo Spirit star Anneli Maley with careless, high-impact contact against JCU Townsville Fire import Karlie Samuelson in their matchup on Friday, 2 December.
The penalty for the charge is a one-game suspension or an early plea penalty of $150. The Bendigo Spirit and Maley have accepted the charge and opted to pay the early plea penalty fine.
As a result, Maley will compete in Saturday's game against Adelaide Lightning.
