The Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) is thrilled to announce Google and YouTube as Foundation Partners of the league, marking another major milestone in the league’s continued rise and recognition on the global sporting stage.
The partnership between Google and the WNBL includes Google Search, YouTube, Pixel and Gemini.
Through this new partnership, Google and YouTube demonstrate a commitment to supporting the WNBL’s expansion. It is designed to amplify the league’s reach and elevate its standing, contributing directly to the continued development of women's sport in Australia.
WNBL CEO Jennie Sager said the partnership reflects the elite level of the WNBL athletes while reinforcing the local and global growth of the women’s game.
“Having a global leader like Google join the WNBL family is another strong signal of confidence in the WNBL and its future," Sager said.
"Together, we’ll continue to build a platform that not only showcases world class athletes but also inspires the next generation of fans and players.”
Suzana Ristevski, Google Australia country marketing manager, said the partnership builds on the growing momentum of women’s basketball.
