Alex Ciabattoni
The unsung hero for the Perth Lynx, Alex Ciabattoni has quietly been one of the biggest drivers of their success this season.
Going into Round 10 on a three-game winning streak, Ciabattoni is averaging 14.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the season. Giving Perth a second ball-handling option in one the league’s best offences
With the addition of Han Xu, can Ciabattoni unlock her full potential setting up the 6’11” superstar?

Abbey Wehrung
The reigning Sixth Woman of the Year has been called the “most underrated player”, WNBL great Kelsey Griffin has ever played with.
Wehrung is a proven threat on both ends of the court, shooting 42.1 per cent this season. After scoring 12 points and pulling down four rebounds against Geelong in Round 9, 2019 league MVP Griffin explained just how valuable Wehrung is to the Spirit.
“Abbey is probably the most underrated player I’ve ever played with,” Griffin said post-game.
“Her leadership, her poise, how she shows up for people, her dedication to defence… She plays with such joy, she is a huge, huge reason we are doing what we are doing.”

Sania Feagin
In a bounce-back round, the LA Sparks forward put herself back on the map with 23 points, 10 rebounds and five assists against the Sydney Flames.
Adelaide will only make finals if Feagin can maintain her elite play on both ends of the court, complementing both Dallas Loughridge and Steph Talbot.
While her ability to score at all levels is outstanding, it’s been her shot blocking and playmaking that has broken open games for the Lightning – keeping them in the hunt for the fourth spot come February.

Alicia Froling
Currently in the season of her career, Townsville junior Alicia Froling has been a driving force of Townsville’s 9-2 start to WNBL26.
With career-highs in field goal percentage, rebounds, assists and blocks, the 29-year-old has been the grit the Fire needed this season.
With a front court of Lauren Cox, Froling and Alex Fowler – the Fire have created a formidable big rotation. While it wasn’t enough to stop the 6’11” Han Xu on Sunday, can the big three regroup to take on Sydney’s Unique Thompson and (twin) Keely Froling in back-to-back clashes in Round 10?

Haley Peters
Returning from a shoulder injury, WNBA forward Haley Peters made her return Tuesday night against Geelong.
Missing three games, her leadership was sorely missed with the Flyers dropping all three against the league’s best teams. Scoring nine points against Geelong, her steady hand and worldwide experience are exactly what Southside Melbourne need to reposition themselves as Finals contenders.
