Three-time NBL1 MVP Teige Morrell has proven she can handle the leap between the semi-professional and professional league. With Opal Zitina Aokuso suffering a knee injury in pre-season, the American forward has started all three games this season.
Against Adelaide, she proved to be one of Canberra’s best offensive options. Falling to a 4-19 deficit, it was Morrell’s elite intertor scoring and rebounding (15 points, six rebounds) which kept the UC Capitals in the game in their 65-73 loss to the Lightning.

With the addtions of scoring threats Miela Sowah and Lucy Olsen and the emergance of Abbey Ellis, co-captain Courtney Woods has shifted into one of the league’s best playmakers. Averging a career-high 8.5 assists per game.
Woods currently leads the league in assists and has entered WNBL26 as the key that unlocks Shannon Seebohm’s offence. With 16 total assists across Round 3, Woods has become the conductor of the league’s best offence, averaging 85.3 points per game.
If she maintains her assists averages, she’ll overtake former player and current Southside Melbourne Flyers coach Kristi Harrower with the highest assists per game season average in WNBL history (8.1 APG, 2013/24 season).

Coming off a Player of the Round performance, Sania Feagin has found her feet Down Under. The Los Angeles Sparks forward scored a double-double against the UC Capitals in Round 3 with 19 points and 10 rebounds and three blocks.
With a knock-down mid-range jumper and elite defensive instincts, Feagin is improving her skills for the upcoming WNBA season as a key part in forming a new identity for Head Coach Kerryn Mitchell’s Lightning.
With the monkey off their back, can Feagin’s Lightning take their second home win against the Sydney Flames on Saturday night?

Anneli Maley vs Southside Melbourne Flyers: Sunday, November 3:30pm AWST live on ESPN | Anneli Maley vs Geelong Venom: Tuesday, November 11th from 7:00pm AEST live on ESPN
Known as one of the best rebounders in the world, Anneli Maley continues to dominate the glass in WNBL26. Leading the league with 12.75 per game, the Paris Olympian currently ranks 31st all-time with 1412 in her eighth season.
With both Alex Ciabattoni and Ally Wilson missing time, Maley became the Lynx’s defacto ball-handler against Townsville, scoring 21 points, making three triples and pulling down 14 rebounds.
Heading into Round 4, Maley will play face off against two of the league’s best bigs, Southside’s Cayla George and Geelong’s Mackenzie Holmes.
