The Australian Gems, headlined by three rising WNBL stars, have made the perfect start to their FIBA U18 Women's Asia Cup in Malaysia.
Led by Bendigo's Olivia Olechnowicz, Townsville's Cheyenne Bobongie and Adelaide's Aspen Crase, Australia has defeated the Philippines (102-47) and New Zealand (99-34) in their opening two fixtures.
Of note, Olechnowicz tallied 15 points, 5 steals, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in their opening victory, before Crase had 6 points, 6 boards, 5 dimes and 1 steal against New Zealand.
Australia, spearheaded by former WNBL coach Kristi Harrower, wrap up their Group A matches on Tuesday against Korea, from 2.30pm AEDT, live on the FIBA YouTube Channel.
