She's enjoying a career-best season for the Perth Lynx, becoming a crucial part of their side in WNBL26.

Through the first 10 games on the 2025-26 season, Alex Ciabattoni is averaging career-best numbers in points (14.8), three-pointers made (1.2), free-throws made (2.6) and rebounds (3.4) per game, while helping the Lynx to 8-3 on the campaign.

Now coach Ryan Petrik has compared star Alex Ciabattoni to one of the city's all-time greats.

“She’s been phenomenal all year. It’s like a career year for her,” Petrik said to the West Australian.

“How she does that while dealing with Eli as well, there’s a lot on her plate. I’m super proud of how she’s playing. She’s also such a funky match-up because she is essentially a one, two, three for us.

“She reminds me a lot of Shawn Redhage. Obviously, not the point-guard aspect but everything is goofy-footed. She doesn’t look athletic but then she jumps and her shot release is so much taller than other point guards. She’s playing really well.”

Ciabattoni and her Lynx will look to continue their strong start to the season when they travel to Adelaide to play the Lightning from 6.30pm AEDT on Sunday, live on ESPN and 9Now.

Tickets to the South Australian State Basketball Centre fixture are still available here.
