Tickets officially on sale for exciting WNBL27 season

Hoops fans, tickets are now officially on sale for the highly anticipated WNBL27 season.

The 2026-27 season looms as a historic one, as the Tasmania Jewels make their long-awaited debut when they host Geelong in the season-opener on Thursday, October 15.

That's just one of many Round 1 highlights, with another being the WNBL26 Grand Final replay between the Lynx and Fire at the Perth High Performance Centre.

The opening round will also see Chinese stars Wang Siyu (Southside Melbourne) and Yang Shuyu (Sydney) go head-to-head at the State Basketball Centre.

It's not just the opening round that will feature blockbuster clashes, as the League is set to contain numerous WNBA stars, including Georgia Amoore (Perth), Shay Ciezki, Maddy Westbeld (both Adelaide), Gianna Kneepkens and Makina Odot (Tasmania).

Numerous stars have also changed teams, with the likes of Jade Melbourne (Bendigo), Maddy Rocci (Geelong), Jaz Shelley, Ally Wilson, Issie Bourne (all Sydney), Saffron Shiels (Southside), Keely Froling (Tasmania) and Amy Atwell (UC Capitals) all lining up in new colours this campaign.

The 2026-27 season will also see Australians Bec Cole (Geelong), Darcee Garbin (Tasmania) and Carly Ernst (Southside) return to the hardwood, after missing last season.

"We are talking globally elite talent right in front of us - you can literally reach out and high-five them.

"And on court this season, the WNBL will be packed with stars, including nine players from our current World Cup Opals, four Chinese national players, a stack of WNBA athletes and so many rising Aussie and Kiwi stars.

The historic season will also feature tentpole moments like HoopsFest in Perth, Indigenous Round, Mental Health Round and Pride Round.
