The UC Capitals' home-opener didn't go according to plan last round, losing by 35 to the Townsville Fire.
But the Caps aren't dwelling too much on the result, rather focusing on a swift rebound in Round 3, when they travel to the South Australian State Basketball Centre to face the Lightning.
"We will definitely come back and bounce back stronger. We've had two solid days of training since that game and we're really excited with how we've responded," Caps forward Teige Morrell said to The Canberra Times.
Morrell, who is averaging three points, six rebounds and 1.5 assists, this season after her off-season move from Perth, is loving her first season in the nation's capital.
"I'm really lucky to be here, and grateful to be a part of the program. I really feel like, personally, it's just the best fit for me. I obviously made the decision to be here because I believed that, and that has absolutely been the case," Morrell said.
"The coaching staff is incredible, coach (Paul) Goriss is pushing me to be the best version of myself and I'm really excited for that. To have the quality of talent around me and the quality of humans around me, it truly is an absolute formula for success."
Saturday's Indigenous Round fixture tips off at 3pm AEDT, live on ESPN and 9Now.
Tickets to the Round 3 match are still available here.
