After revamping their roster in the off-season and defeating Southside Melbourne in Round 1, everything was going swimmingly for the UC Capitals.

Since then though, the Caps have dropped back-to-back games against Townsville and Adelaide.

Now, as they sit at 1-2, Capitals star Jade Melbourne, fresh off a strong WNBA season with Washington, has labelled Thursday's road clash in Sydney as "super important".

"We still haven't shown the league who we are yet as a team," Melbourne said to ESPN.

"In Round 1, everyone's nervous and it's kind of a game you want to get out of the way and our two tests since, we haven't been our best, so it's all about redemption.

"It's just about getting back to us, taking the pressure off that we have to be good and going out there and playing.

"Once we get back to that and show the league who we are and if we can get back to playing Caps basketball and the identity we created pre-season, it'll be huge moving forward."

Thursday's Round 4 clash at Quaycentre tips off at 7pm AEDT, live on ESPN2 and 9Now.

Tickets to the clash are still available here.
