The Geelong Venom have strengthened their roster with the signing of experienced forward Ashley Arlen as an injury replacement player for the WNBL26 season.

Arlen arrives with more than a decade of professional experience across Europe, the UK and Australia, including standout stints in the NBL1 North with USC Rip City and the Darwin Salties.

The 188cm forward is known for her toughness, scoring ability and leadership, and was previously inducted into the Wayne State College Hall of Fame.

Venom head coach Chris Lucas said Arlen will provide immediate impact.

“Ash is a proven professional who competes hard and brings real presence to the floor," Lucas said. "Her experience and physicality will be important for us as we manage injuries.”

Arlen will suit up during Geelong’s Round 8 clash with Bendigo on Friday night in Ballarat.

Tickets to Friday's Round 8 fixture at Selkirk Stadium, which will be broadcast live on ESPN and 9Now, are still available here.
