WNBL stars set for 3x3 FIBA World Cup

Basketball Australia has unveiled a powerhouse Gangurrus squad set to take on the world at the FIBA 3x3 2026 World Cup in Poland, Warsaw from 1 to 7 June.
Olympian and recent UC Capitals signing Amy Atwell will lead the charge, with her elite shooting, size and long-range scoring set to thrive in the fast-paced, run-and-gun style of 3x3 basketball.
Southside Melbourne Flyers fans will get their first look at Hannah Han’s playing style, with the exciting forward bringing size, physicality and rebounding strength to the squad.
Dynamic two-way talent Emma Clark will continue her impressive 3x3 rise, earning selection after playing a pivotal role in the Gangurrus’ gold medal-winning campaign at the recent Asia Cup.
Former WNBL star Marena Whittle rounds out the squad, continuing her role as a cornerstone of the Gangurrus program and a pioneer of the 3x3 format in Australia.
Damon Lowery will again lead the team as Head Coach following the Gangurrus’ successful Asia Cup campaign.
The Gangurrus will head to Serbia for a training camp, including preparation games against Azerbaijan from 27 to 30 May, before travelling to Poland for the tournament.
