WNBL27 Free Agency opens April 1st

After a record-breaking season, the WNBL27 Free agency period starts on April 1st with nine teams vying for the best talent on offer across the globe.

With the Championship-winning Townsville Fire retaining six players, all eyes fall on the Tasmania Jewels in their inaugural season, looking to sign the first 10 players in franchise history.

With a number of marquee players under contract like all-time great Cayla George, Breakout Player of the Year Dallas Loughridge, MVP runner-up Anneli Maley and Finals MVP Courtney Woods – the global search for talent begins.

Teams can have 10 rostered players including up to and two Restricted players (non AU/NZ talent-local talent). Clubs may also sign an unlimited number of Development Players to their Development Squads. A Development Player is a Non-Restricted player (AU or NZ) under the age of 25.
