Bendigo's Jade Melbourne has continued her strong run of form for the Seattle Storm in the WNBA, producing numerous stellar performances over the past week.
Off the back of her career-high game (23 points) against Portland, the Australian Opal has rattled off performances of 9, 12 and 11 points in her past three games. In the latter, the 23-year-old added 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 block.
Melbourne's Storm teammate and fellow Opal Ezi Magbegor scored a season-high 17 points, combined with 4 boards, 5 blocks and 1 dime, against Seattle.
In Phoenix, Perth Lynx's Sami Whitcomb contributed a season-high 11 points, as well as 4 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals, in the Mercury's fixture with Portland.
This backed up her 7 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals performance for Phoenix in their win over Los Angeles.
Bendigo Spirit's reigning WNBL MVP Isobel Borlase had one of the best games of her rookie WNBA season against Indiana on Monday AEST.
In the Dream's loss to the Fever, the Opals guard put up 10 points (including two triples), 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Dream teammate and Tasmania Jewels recruit Madina Okot had 8 points, 7 boards, 2 blocks, 1 dime and 1 steal.
Other notable performances from Australians over the past week in the WNBA include Dallas' Alana Smith (13 points, 11 boards and 4 dimes in a win against Toronto) and New York's Bec Allen (11 points and 13 points in back-to-back games).
Elsewhere, Geelong signing Han Xu posted 9 points and 4 rebounds for the Liberty in the four-point win over the Sparks, and New Zealand talent Charlisse Leger-Walker equalled her career-high of 14 points for Connecticut, while also adding 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal against New York.
