Gems book their spot in Asia Cup Semi-Finals

The Australian Gems are through to the 2026 FIBA U18 Women's Asia Cup Semi-Finals after clean-sweeping their pool matches.

After opening the Malaysian tournament with wins against the Philippines and New Zealand, Kristi Harrower’s side wrapped up their Group A fixtures with a 92-56 triumph over Korea on Tuesday AEDT.

Bendigo's Olivia Olechnowicz was one of the Gems’ stars in their Game 3 win, tallying 18 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.

Australia, which also features Townsville's Cheyenne Bobongie and Adelaide's Aspen Crase, have now topped Group A and qualified for the final four.

They will next play the winner of China and the Phillipines on Friday for a spot in the gold medal match.

That match will be broadcast live on the FIBA YouTube Channel.
