The Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) is thrilled to welcome back Ford as a Major Partner and Official Automotive Partner for this season and the 26/27 season.
As one of Australia’s most iconic and trusted brands, Ford will continue to drive the pathway from grassroots to elite competition, with the WNBL standing proudly as the pinnacle of women’s basketball in Australia.
From local courts to national arenas, Ford has long been one of basketball’s biggest supporters — partnering with more than 200 associations nationwide and helping families get to games week after week.
With both Ford and the WNBL focused on growing participation and elevating the sport’s next generation, WNBL CEO Jennie Sager says she’s thrilled to see Ford continue their support for women’s basketball.
“This partnership shows all of the young girls and professional athletes playing basketball that major brands like Ford see them and see the future of women’s basketball. Participation numbers are already at an all time high in Australia, and Ford will help lift the game even more, ” said WNBL CEO, Jennie Sager.
Ford Dealer Network’s Cameron McLeish echoed the excitement, highlighting the brand’s deep connection to community and sport.
“It lets us connect with fans from the ground up, while supporting Australia’s elite athletes and helping women’s basketball grow even bigger in Australia,” McLeish said.
“We’re excited to work with the WNBL, and proud to be part of the team.”
Together, the WNBL and Ford are set to accelerate the growth of women’s basketball, ensuring that players, fans, and communities continue to share in the sport’s momentum across the country.
