Xu, WNBL stars shine bright across the WNBA

Han Xu starred with 19 points as the New York Liberty downed Chicago, headlining a strong round of WNBA performances from Australian and WNBL-linked players.

Geelong Venom star Han Xu has continued her incredible WNBA season with New York, powering the Liberty to a win over Chicago.
In the 85-66 victory, the Chinese sensation tallied 19 points (including 2 triples), 5 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 assist.
Australia's Bec Allen was also solid for New York, contributing 6 points, 7 boards and 2 dimes.
This victory moves the Liberty, who have already clinched their Playoff berth, to 24-16 on the season.
In Sunday's other game, Phoenix easily accounted for Toronto 101-69.
In the triumph, Australian Sami Whitcomb had 14 points (including 4 triples), 3 boards, 2 dimes and 1 steal.
Fellow Mercury teammates and Adelaide Lightning imports Shay Ciezki and Maddy Westbeld had nights to remember.
The former produced a career-high 15 points, as well as 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal, while Westbald scored a season-high 14 points, to go with 4 boards, 1 dime and 1 steal.
Other recent notable performances include UC Capitals' Nyadiew Puoch (7 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal for Portland against Atlanta) and Perth's Georgia Amoore (9 points, 5 assists and 1 board).
