The Perth Lynx announced on Tuesday that versatile guard Steph Gorman has re-committed to the club for the upcoming WNBL27 season, subject to League review and approval.
Arriving ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, Gorman has developed into one of the club’s top two-way performers.
In WNBL26, the 26-year-old appeared in 24 games for the Lynx and helped the franchise reach the Grand Final Series.
“I’m stoked to be back with the Lynx for Year 4,” Gorman said.
“I’m looking forward to coming back healthy, after a tough season last year with injury, and hoping we can go one further.
“The team list is looking unreal, and we’ve got one of the best fanbases in the country. I’m excited to get to work.”
Away from the WNBL stage, Gorman has also enjoyed significant success in the NBL1 West competition with the Cockburn Cougars, where she is a two-time champion and Grand Final MVP, underlining her quality and winning pedigree.
Perth Lynx General Manager, Chris Earl, said Gorman’s re-commitment was an important piece of continuity for the club.
“Steph has become a really important part of our program over the past few seasons,” Earl said.
“She competes on both ends of the floor and continues to find ways to impact winning.
“We’ve loved seeing her growth and we’re excited to have her back in Lynx colours for WNBL27.”
Gorman, who has 69 WNBL games to her name, joins Sami Whitcomb, Anneli Maley, Alex Ciabattoni and Nya Lok as players already locked into the Perth Lynx roster for the WNBL27 season.
