Can the Venom keep winning without Rocci and Cole?

The Geelong Venom secured an impressive win last weekend against the Southside Flyers, with their starting backcourt of Maddy Rocci and Bec Cole both missing due to injury.

The return of Han Xu gave the Venom plenty of extra presence, and their backcourt depth gave it their all as they ground out the win.

Despite that result, the Venom can’t expect every game to end the same way without their injured stars if they don’t bring the same energy and effort each week.

Starting the WNBL27 Season with a 1-1 record, the UC Capitals have shown some impressive signs to start their campaign.

Picking up an impressive win against Bendigo in Round 1, before falling short to the in-form Sydney Flames, the Capitals have proven that they aren’t going to be easy to beat.

Alice Kunek singled the Capitals out on the latest episode of The Loop, presented by Blackmores, as a side that people may potentially be overlooking in WNBL27, and a win in this contest would heavily support that claim.
